Discover the Transformative Power of Prayer

At Rosyth Community Church we believe in the power of prayer. Prayer fills the pages of the Bible and is the oxygen by which Christians breathe and relate to God. The Bible teaches us a whole variety of different approaches to prayer that can enrich and transform our lives. This can include intercessory prayer, daily prayer disciplines, devotional prayer, contemplative prayer and meditative prayer.

Intercession Asking God

Praying for God to move

Gathering in prayer as a community allows us to lift our voices together, amplifying our intentions and needs before God. There is unique power in collective prayer; it fosters solidarity, inspires hope, and encourages support among members. Join us in our regular prayer meetings where we can unite our hearts and seek God’s guidance together. You can build your own prayer list using the Echo app here.

Daily Prayer Habits

Practical Spirituality for lasting change

Incorporating prayer into our daily lives offers profound benefits. It can bring peace during turbulent times, clarity in moments of confusion, and strength amidst challenges. At Rosyth Community Church, we believe that frequent engagement in prayer can profoundly impact your personal life and your relationships. Let us support you on this journey of faith, where prayer is at the centre of our daily practices. We recommend the Lectio 365 Prayer App which is available here.

Contemplative & Meditative Prayer

Going deeper in relationship with Christ

Prayer is a multifaceted way of relating to God and being with God. Contemplative and meditative prayer involve meeting with God in silence and stillness. Psalm 46:10 says "Be still and know that I am God". To help us explore a more contemplative and meditative approach to prayer we meet on Zoom each Sunday at 5pm. This is called Mindful Church. All welcome!. See here for more details.
